Building the future of ibogaine through science, safety and evidence.

Advancing safe, legal and responsible ibogaine access worldwide.

The Ibogaine Global Institute is built around a simple but ambitious goal: to transform decades of dispersed clinical experience into shared knowledge, rigorous standards, high-quality research and better outcomes for patients.

The opportunity is to transform clinical experience into science, and science into better standards of care. Institutional vision

Our vision

To create an independent global institution capable of bringing together physicians, researchers, universities, specialists in cardiology, psychiatry, pharmacology, bioethics, public health and data science around a common purpose: to better understand ibogaine and raise standards for its responsible medical use.

Science

Generate prospective, publishable knowledge.

Safety

Turn clinical experience into verifiable standards.

Data

Build shared infrastructure to learn from every case.

Training

Raise the capabilities of clinical teams.

Collaboration

Connect clinical and scientific communities worldwide.

A global opportunity

The ibogaine field already contains many of the elements needed to advance: clinical experience, established centers, physicians with practical knowledge and academic researchers capable of rigorous science. The next step is to connect these elements through a shared global platform.

01

Real-world clinical experience

Years of accumulated clinical experience can become a valuable source of structured knowledge when it is documented, harmonized and studied systematically.

02

Scientific capacity

Universities, hospitals, research centers and specialists can contribute to studies, registries, standards and systems for evaluating outcomes.

03

International collaboration

Strong scientific infrastructure can generate better evidence on safety, outcomes and best practices while allowing countries and institutions to learn from one another.

The goal is not to promote a predetermined conclusion about ibogaine. It is to create the conditions for important questions to be answered with better data, better methods and greater transparency.

What we can build

IGI can provide the shared infrastructure the field currently lacks: a place where clinical experience is documented, compared, reviewed and progressively transformed into better practices.

01

Map existing clinical experience across countries.

02

Develop consensus-based clinical and safety standards.

03

Develop prospective multicenter registries.

04

Harmonize measures and methods across centers and researchers.

05

Train clinical teams and create continuous-improvement systems.

06

Publish results and share knowledge with the international scientific community.

Organizational purpose

IGI is envisioned as a scientific, medical, educational and public-benefit platform. Its purpose is to build the infrastructure, knowledge and professional capacity needed for responsible advancement of the field.

01

Scientific and clinical research

Promote, develop, coordinate, support and fund scientific, clinical, medical, pharmacological, epidemiological and outcomes research related to ibogaine and other interventions relevant to human health.

02

Clinical standards and best practices

Develop, evaluate, update and disseminate standards, guidelines, protocols, criteria and best practices for patient selection, medical and psychiatric assessment, monitoring, administration, emergency preparedness, follow-up and integration.

03

Safety and quality

Promote systems for quality, identity, purity, traceability, handling, storage and chain of custody for products used in research and authorized clinical settings.

04

Registries and evidence generation

Create, operate, support or collaborate on prospective registries, databases, outcomes platforms, pharmacovigilance and longitudinal follow-up systems that enable the study of safety, feasibility and clinical outcomes.

05

Academic collaboration

Establish partnerships with universities, hospitals, research centers, professional associations, civil-society organizations, foundations and national and international entities to advance knowledge and scientific projects of shared interest.

06

Education and training

Develop continuing medical education, clinical training, competency certification, simulation, conferences, seminars, publications, educational materials and scientific outreach activities.

07

Methodological innovation

Design and evaluate tools, methodologies, assessment instruments, documentation systems, risk-management models and technologies that improve the quality and safety of clinical care.

08

Patient protection and ethics

Promote informed consent, transparency, data protection, bioethics, patient safety, risk reduction and learning systems based on adverse events and clinical outcomes.

09

Scientific dissemination

Publish and disseminate results, reviews, consensus statements, recommendations, scientific materials and knowledge generated by IGI and its collaborators.

10

Institutional development and fundraising

Enter into agreements, receive donations, obtain funding, administer resources and undertake lawful activities necessary to fulfill scientific, educational and public-benefit purposes on a nonprofit basis.

What can IGI achieve?

Success would not be measured only by publications or individual projects. It would be measured by the ability to create a culture of continuous learning around ibogaine worldwide.

A shared clinical language

Enable centers and professionals to assess, document and communicate clinical variables in comparable ways.

High-quality prospective data

Move from fragmented case histories and retrospective reports to structured, longitudinal datasets.

Better safety standards

Allow accumulated experience and new data to be continuously translated into better procedures.

Multicenter research

Create infrastructure that enables collaborative prospective studies across institutions and countries.

Professional training

Raise the capabilities of physicians, nurses, mental-health professionals and others involved in care.

Global scientific leadership

Build an international community that generates knowledge, standards and innovation for the entire field.

The opportunity is to create a global learning system that learns from every patient, improves with every data point and shares that knowledge with the world.
